If OpenDental doesn't show patient's picture taken by iPad app but YAPI Dashboard sees the picture check whether Image Category with usage 'PatientPic' does exist and is not hidden in OpenDental.

To check, start OpenDental, select Setup from the top menu bar, select Definitions. On Definitions screen, find and select Image Category category on the left, find category with the usage PatientPic. Make sure that there is no X symbol in Hide column. If there is one, double click on selection and uncheck Hidden box.  

Go back to Family tab and check whether patient's picture is showing up. Note you may need to refresh currently selected patient.
